Words For Charity is pleased to announce that it has awarded its 2018 Summer “Philanthropic Scribe” grant to Karston Anderson.
The “Philanthropic Scribe” grant is chosen from authors who have published a story at WordsforCharity.Org to raise money for one of several great causes that are featured. From this group of authors, a computer algorithm picks out the recipient.
Karston is a student at Illinois State University majoring in University Studies and English Creative Writing. In his spare time he writes and enjoys the way words on a page are powerful enough to affect the minds of readers in a positive way. In addition to writing Karston is a track and field athlete and coach training athletes to become the best that they can be and to give their best effort. “Even in track and field you can produce poetry while in motion through the way you go about mechanics and movement; just like a writer!”
